Fanco

Fanco buying guide

Fanco is an Australian brand covering both DC ceiling fans and bathroom ventilation, including exhaust fans and ducted ventilation kits. This collection spans the brand's full range rather than one product type.

Ceiling fans in this collection

Fanco's ceiling fan range includes models like the Flow, Eco Silent Pro and EarthFirst Gaia, most running on DC motors for lower running cost and quieter operation than older AC models, and several available with an integrated LED light. Bathroom ventilation and exhaust fans

Beyond ceiling fans, this collection includes Fanco's bathroom ventilation range: round and square duct exhaust fans and ventilation kits designed to clear moisture from a bathroom rather than circulate air through a room. These are a separate product category from ceiling fans and serve a different purpose, extracting humid air outside rather than moving air within the room.

DC versus AC ceiling fans

A DC motor uses less power and typically runs quieter than an older AC motor, and most of Fanco's current range is built on DC motors for that reason. This matters more in a bedroom or living space where fan noise is noticeable at low speed, less so in a bathroom exhaust application where the fan runs for shorter bursts.

Choosing between a light-equipped and standard fan

Several Fanco ceiling fans, including the EarthFirst Gaia, come with an integrated LED light, which suits a room where you want to avoid a separate ceiling light fitting altogether. A standard fan without a light suits a room that already has adequate lighting and just needs air movement.

Finish and material choices

Fanco's ceiling fans span standard white and black finishes alongside natural timber-look blades on ranges like EarthFirst Gaia, giving a warmer look than a plain white fan. Ventilation products are mostly finished in white or matte white to blend into a ceiling.
