Briq tile collection buying guide

Briq is a small-format unglazed porcelain mosaic tile, 48x48mm, in five colours spanning muted neutrals through to a warmer terracotta tone, suited to a feature wall, splashback or shower niche rather than a full floor.

Why unglazed porcelain

An unglazed finish gives a more matte, textured surface than a glazed tile, closer to the look of a natural clay or concrete surface. This suits a feature application where texture matters more than a reflective, polished look.

Choosing a colour

Milk and Flecked Linen both give a light, neutral base, with Flecked Linen adding subtle colour variation across each tile rather than a flat, uniform tone. Sage and Graphite give a deeper, more deliberate colour statement, and Terracotta gives the warmest, most distinctive option of the five.

Where a small-format mosaic works best

At 48x48mm, Briq suits a feature wall, a shower niche, or a splashback where a smaller, more textured tile adds visual interest without covering a large floor area. A small-format mosaic also has more grout lines than a larger tile, which some people find gives a more tactile, handmade feel.
