Iver Cabinet Hardware Buying Guide
Iver makes solid brass cabinet hardware, with pull handles, knobs and optional backplates grouped into collections that each share one design language. The range here includes the Puerto, Sarlat, Osaka, Brunswick, Helsinki, Cali and Baltimore, in finishes such as Signature Brass, Brushed Brass, Brushed Gold PVD, Graphite PVD, Satin Nickel, Polished Chrome and Matte Black. It suits kitchens, vanities, laundries and wardrobes where you want weighty, well-made hardware.
What is the difference between the Iver ranges?
Each range has its own bar shape. The Puerto is a smooth tube on rounded supports, with a matching spherical knob. The Sarlat is a curved bar with a ring at each end, inspired by French Provincial design. The Osaka is softly rounded with crisp edging, the Brunswick has diamond-cut cross knurling, the Helsinki is a slim geometric bar, and the Cali is the slimmest at 9mm wide. The Baltimore is a sleek, minimalist option.
Which Iver range suits my kitchen style?
For contemporary and minimalist kitchens, choose the Cali or Helsinki. For Japandi, the Osaka in Satin Nickel or Brushed Brass sits quietly against timber. For industrial kitchens, the knurled Brunswick in Matte Black or Graphite PVD fits well. For Hamptons and French-style homes, the Sarlat in a brass finish suits panelled doors, and the Puerto works in coastal and mid-century interiors.
What sizes do Iver handles come in?
Centres run from 96mm to 450mm, depending on the range. The Osaka, Helsinki and Cali come on 96mm to 256mm centres, suited to vanities and standard cabinetry. The Puerto and Sarlat run from 128mm to 450mm, and the Brunswick from 160mm to 450mm, for wide drawers and tall pantry or appliance doors. The Puerto knob comes in 32mm and 38mm. Compare handles by centre, the distance between screw holes, not overall length.
How much do Iver handles stand off the door?
Projection varies from 28mm on the Cali to 36mm on the Helsinki, 30mm on the Osaka, 40mm on the Brunswick and 43mm on the Puerto and Sarlat. A deeper projection gives more finger room, which helps on heavy drawers. Check clearance where two doors or drawers open close together. Iver pulls come with M4 x 25mm and M4 x 45mm bolts to suit different panel thicknesses.
Which Iver finish should I choose?
Brushed Gold PVD and Graphite PVD are hard-wearing vacuum coatings that resist abrasion. Signature Brass is Iver's own warm brass tone, and Brushed Brass is a soft, matte gold. Satin Nickel hides fingerprints, Polished Chrome adds shine, and Matte Black gives contrast. Not every range carries every finish. Choose tapware first, then keep handles to one or two metals per room.
How do I care for solid brass cabinet hardware?
Wipe with a soft cloth and warm, mildly soapy water, then dry. Avoid abrasive pads, metal polish, bleach and acidic cleaners, which can damage lacquers and coatings. Under its finish, solid brass holds its colour; where a coating wears, it can slowly darken, more quickly in damp or coastal homes.
