Partnering with Rare Cancers Australia

Rare Cancers Australia (RCA) is a registered charity committed to supporting those who need help in the fight against rare and complex cancers. Through RCA, we can make sure Jemma and others like her have access to life-saving treatment options not covered by the standard healthcare system. 100% of donations collected at checkout go directly to RCA to fund Jemma’s journey.

Who We're Helping - Jemma Juckes

Jemma Juckes, 34, from Sydney, is a devoted wife, stepmum, and fur-mum to her dog, George. Known for her bright spirit, Jemma’s life changed in April 2023 when she was diagnosed with stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer with a rare EGFR exon20 mutation. 5. About Rare Cancers Australia (RCA)
Rare Cancers Australia (RCA) is a registered Australian charity dedicated to supporting individuals with rare and less common cancers. RCA works to improve the lives of patients by providing financial assistance, advocating for patient rights, funding research, and raising awareness. By supporting RCA through this campaign, customers can directly contribute to these efforts and assist those in need of specialised treatments that may not be available through standard healthcare funding.

  6. Meet Jemma
Jemma Juckes, 34, from Sydney, is an integral part of her local community, known for her warmth, kindness, and resilience. She is married to Lang and is a loving stepmum to Riley and fur-mum to their dog, George. In April 2023, Jemma was diagnosed with stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer with an EGFR exon20 mutation, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. What started as sciatica pain led to the discovery of tumors on her spine, culminating in a life-changing diagnosis. Despite her battle, Jemma remains determined, undergoing rounds of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation, and participating in a trial drug program.
Recently, Jemma was offered access to a new trial drug, Amivantamab, specifically designed to target her rare mutation. However, this potentially life-saving treatment comes at an enormous cost—approximately $10,000 per session, required every fortnight for as long as the treatment remains effective.
