Caroma Contura II Range

The Caroma Contura II range is a coordinated bathroom suite covering toilets, basins, baths, tapware and accessories — all built around a single consistent aesthetic of curved profiles and restrained detailing. This page covers the full Contura II product lineup, key specifications, available finishes, and how each product category fits into a complete bathroom.

What is the Caroma Contura II range?

Caroma Contura II is a matched bathroom range that allows a toilet, basin, bath and tapware to share the same visual language across a bathroom. The range succeeds the original Contura line with refined proportions, updated flushing technology and an expanded product set. Caroma is an Australian brand with over 80 years of manufacturing history, and the Contura II line is designed to meet WELS water efficiency standards throughout.

Contura II toilets and Cleanflush technology

The Contura II toilet suite uses Caroma's Cleanflush technology, which removes the internal rim from the bowl entirely to allow a full-circumference flush and make cleaning significantly easier. The back-to-wall and wall-faced configurations suit contemporary bathrooms where a concealed cistern or in-wall cistern is preferred. WELS ratings sit at 4-star for the close-coupled models.

For projects that require a fully concealed cistern, the Contura II is also compatible with the Caroma Invisi Series II in-wall carrier system, keeping the wall face completely unbroken. The combined Contura II Cleanflush Invisi Series II suite is one of the more commonly specified combinations in the range.

Contura II basins

Contura II basins come in inset, undercounter and wall-mounted configurations. The 530mm inset basin is the most searched individual product in the range and suits standard 600mm vanity top cut-outs. The undercounter version works with stone or solid-surface benchtops where a seamless joint is needed. All basins are vitreous china with an anti-scratch glaze and carry a 25-year warranty from Caroma.

For basin pairing, the Contura II basin mixer is purpose-designed with a matching curved spout to maintain visual consistency across fittings. The mixer is available in chrome as standard. Browse the full bathroom basins collection for basin-only comparisons across brands.

Contura II baths

The Contura II bath is a built-in (alcove) acrylic bath available in 1500mm and 1700mm lengths. The curved rim profile continues the design language of the basin and toilet, which makes it easier to carry a cohesive look across the full wet area. It is suitable for right or left-hand tap placement and is compatible with standard Australian alcove rough-in dimensions. See the full range of bathtubs for size and configuration alternatives.

Contura II tapware and accessories

Caroma Contura II tapware includes the basin mixer noted above plus bath fillers and hand shower sets. Chrome is the primary available finish across the tapware line. The accessories programme covers toilet roll holders, towel rails, towel rings and robe hooks, all in matching chrome with the same curved bar profile. Accessories are sold individually, so it is straightforward to mix and match pieces to suit your specific layout.

For broader tapware comparisons across the Caroma range, the taps collection covers wall-mounted and deck-mounted options from multiple Caroma lines.

How Contura II compares to other Caroma ranges

Within the Caroma lineup, Contura II sits alongside the Liano II, Urbane II and Luna II ranges, all of which use Cleanflush and Invisi Series II compatibility as shared foundations. Contura II is distinguished by its curved, organic profile — Liano II is flatter and more rectangular, while Urbane II trends toward a harder, architectural edge. If a softer, rounded aesthetic is the brief, Contura II is the most consistent choice across all product categories in the Caroma range.

What to check before specifying Contura II

Confirm the rough-in dimension of your existing toilet waste before ordering — Australian standard is 140mm or 165mm from the finished wall, and most Contura II suites are supplied to suit both. For the basin, measure the vanity top cut-out or benchtop thickness before choosing between inset and undercounter. Tapware hole count on the basin (one-hole vs. three-hole) needs to match the mixer or set you select. All Caroma products sold on The Blue Space include the manufacturer warranty and ship Australia-wide.
