How do I change door handles?
Replacing a door handle generally involves removing the existing handle and its spindle, checking that the new handle's backset and screw positions match the existing door preparation, and fitting the new handle in place, tightening evenly on both sides of the door to avoid wobble. What door handles work best for French doors?
French doors typically need only one functioning, lockable handle, with the second door fitted with a dummy handle for a matching appearance without a working mechanism.
