Where should cabinet handles be placed?

Cabinet handles should be placed on the opposite side of the door hinges, between 1-4 inches from the edge of the cabinet door.

What size cabinet handles do I need?

The size of your cabinet handles ultimately comes down to your own preference and style! As a general rule of thumb however, we would recommend a cabinet handle that is approximately ⅓ of your cabinet. Ensure your handle is comfortable to grab, pull and push.

Are all cabinet handles the same size?

No, cabinet handles are not all the same size. In saying that, the distance between the screw holes are most commonly 3-4 inches as this looks appropriate on most cabinets. Standard size cabinet handles will be appropriate for most cabinet sizes.

How do you measure cabinet handles?

The best way to measure your cabinet handles is to measure from 'hole to hole'. What this refers to is the hole in which you will screw your handles to your cabinet doors. Therefore, a long handle with a length of 96mm, actually refers to the distance between each screw hole, meaning the actual length of your handle may be longer. This is important to note if replacing existing handles as you will need to align your existing screw holes with your new handles. If you are applying handles for the first time, this is less important as you can create your own holes to apply your handles.
