When you are looking for the best kitchen taps, opt for materials like brass with high quality finishes. While they can be more expensive, they will also last a lot longer. Investing in a good quality tap, means you’re paying for better design, longer warranties, additional functionally, and the option for customisation. One easy way to tell if a tap is of a higher quality is by inspecting its weight. Cheaper models will be lightweight because they are made from plastic, whereas a high-end piece should be heavy and solid.
A good place to start is to consider who will be using the tap. Kitchen taps with round or cross handles can be more difficult to use, particularly for children, people with dexterity issues and the elderly. Instead, a tap like a single-lever mixer can often be more ergonomic and convenient as they simplify temperature adjustment.
